Description
Currently when a Direct Debit mandate is in place, this is what is displayed:
Bank reference BITFOLKLTD-ABCDE12 Creation time 1970-01-01T00:00:00.001Z Next possible charge date 2021-04-12 Status Active
A customer ticket asked for the details of their bank account so they could work out which bank account their Direct Debit had been set up against.
In theory this is possible by taking the reference BITFOLKLTD-ABCDE12, logging in to every online banking and seeing if it is there. GoCardless does however hold some details about the linked bank account:
Status Active Created 1st Jan 1970 Account holder J BLOGGS Account no. ending ••••••00 Country code GB Currency GBP Bank name EXAMPLE BANK LIMITED
So in order to make this easier we should probably request this and display account holder, account number and bank name. We can only get the last two digits of bank account number.
