Description
The current version of Grub2 that BitFolk uses doesn't understand the sparse inode feature of XFS filesystems, as used by default in CentOS Stream 8 and CentOS Stream 9. As a result you can't boot a newly-installed VM that uses that.
This can be worked around by using a /boot partition with some other filesystem.
The proper fix is most likely an upgrade of BitFolk's Grub2.

A new version of our grub bootloader has now been deployed and it is able to understand XFS filesystems with sparse indoes.
