Description
Support updating the distro version automatically instead of needing users to update via the panel.
Perhaps virt-inspector could be used to query the image before it's booted?

Good idea.
libguestfs appears to be a bit of a nightmare in Debian lenny at least:
http://libguestfs.org/download/binaries/debian-packages/README.txt
so in the mean time it might just be easier to set it from the thing that does the install (xen-shell at the moment).

I imagine that this has improved since (the URL above now 404s). Perhaps this is worth revisiting?
